Medical treatments and surgeries can be critical to restoring and preserving vision. The results may be life-changing, but the costs can be a barrier for many individuals.

Are you eligible?

You may qualify for services if you are a South Carolina resident who:

• Has a visual impairment, including (but not limited to):
  • Malformation/malfunction of the eye
  • Progressive eye conditions
  • Eye trauma or injury
• Meets financial need requirements

Types of assistance

Eligible individuals may receive financial assistance for sight-saving or sight-improving procedures/surgeries, such as:

• Cataracts
• Retinal detachment repair
• Other vision-related medical treatments
